This striking, 230-seat restaurant, entered through a 20m passageway lined with orange arches, has soaring ceilings and a two-and-a-half-metre-tall Japanese bell that draws the eye from every table, the footbridge and fish pool a mere sideshow. Fix your waiter with a steely gaze when you’re ready to order dishes from a menu that includes everything from sashimi and nigiri to sushi, robatayaki to tempura via caviar.
Standouts include salmon pillow, puff pastry filled with smoked avocado blanketed with salmon sashimi and roasted jalapeño pepper, cucumber sesame salad with plum sauce and crispy chicken with flat rice, truffle salt and tomato ponzu.
An outsized sushi bar and a private dining room on the mezzanine floor completes the setting, all designed by ace designers Rockwell Group.
