"It’s a great advantage not to drink among hard drinking people.” So said F Scott Fitzgerald in The Great Gatsby. But this is not the advice you should be following at the Atlas, where the cocktails put Atlas in the very top echelons of the planet's greatest bars. The stunning Art Deco interior, with its grandeur and supreme wow factor (and famed Gin Tower) helps: "like stepping into a set on the Great Gatsby", claims one fan.

Beyond the cocktails and awesome gin collection there's a wonderful choice of Champagne, wine and whisky, and soak it all up with steak frites, smoked pork loin or their signature croque monsieur. If you are wanting to follow the Scott Fitzgerald advice, make a date for afternoon tea, though make sure you book well in advance.
