Wolfgang Puck's culinary globetrotter's finds a welcome Asian berth at Sands SkyPark, and while it may not be quite as hip as the Beverly Hills original, its views from level 57 of Marina Bay Sands Tower 2 and its appealing, imaginative seasonal menu of Californian cuisine with global accents makes it perfect for any gourmand's list of must-visit restaurants.
Pasta has always been a speciality, so don't bypass thd white truffle tagliatelle if it’s in season or rigatoni with braised tripe and veal sweetbreads, both of whaich are superb. Charcoal-grilled Spanish octopus is popular, as too crispy pan-roasted chicken with wild field mushrooms, and a thyme-infused jus, though many first-timers head straight to the honey miso broiled black cod. The decor is splashy and big budget, competing hard with spectacular views while service can be slow at peak time, but nobody’s complaining.
Locals add that "the bar is a must".
