Griglia Open Fire Italian Kitchen, in the delightful Craig Road precinct, cossets its customers with Italian cuisine cooked, where possible, from an open kitchen over a customised cast iron charcoal grill, known as the grigliata. Dishes come served in smaller sharing portions and might include home-made rosemary focaccia, Hokkaido scallops with white corn or Tuscan chicken liver pate followed by fusilli with jumbo crab and spicy nduja, porterhouse steak or Spanish turbot. Service is beautifully Italian and ambience reliably warm. Don’t miss their knockout Lemoncello Tom Collins and keep an eye out for regular wine dinners with leading wine producers, from the likes of Cecchi Winery in Tuscany and Duckhorn in Napa Valley.
