SquareMeal Review of Kinki

If you’re a first-timer to Singapore – or simply entertaining a first-timer – Kinki, with its prime waterside setting and sun-soaked terrace, is a shoe-in for your go-to short list. Whether you're looking for a light lunch and a glass of wine or the full throttle experience, the extensive menu will provide plenty of kick-ass freshness and choice. A nice range of sushi and sashimi dovetails with nigiri rolls and other popular light bites such as seared foie gras with Hokkaido scallops, roasted miso kurobuta pork belly and fried soft shell crab. Popular small plates are steamed and salted edamame, snow crab with tofu, and Sakura shrimps with white bait and lightly dressed salad. Signature sharing mains deliver Koji-aged rack of lamb with mentaiko breadcrumbs or seaweed crusted salmon in home-made spicy mayo, while a range of grill options introduces the likes of chargrilled Ohmi A4 wagyu striploin with mixed mushrooms.

While the food is certainly tasty, the waterside setting cannot fail to share equal billing.
