Take a trip to Satay by the Bay, tucked between Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay, and bag a table to feast over all kinds of local delights from satay, roast duck or chicken rice to chilli crabs or biryani. You can eat under cover or alfresco to enjoy better views of the waterfront and the night lights come evening time. This hawker market, seating about 1,000 diners, is a throw-back to the old Satay Club of the ’80s and while prices have gone up and, some would say, standards have become less consistent, it's still a good night out and popular weekend activity.
