There’s plenty of continental panache at The Cliff which covers many bases foodwise, from grilled octopus and linguini with clams to wood-fired pizza and classic pasta dishes. For mains, there’s lamb and pork chops or grilled ocean trout served with a cool cucumber and buttermilk gazpacho. Or, if you’re looking to up the ante, why not check out the regular Thursday special menus when four courses are paired with different wines? Beyond the Italian offering there’s a mixed pan-Asian menu serving Asian, Indian, burgers and wraps, which can be finished off with a variety of nutty, chocolate or fruity tarts. More nonna than gastronomic, maybe, but we like the variety on offer for all manner of different occasions and guests. Views of the South China Sea, particularly from the attractive terrace, are a further plus.
