There’s plenty of continental panache at The Cliff which covers many bases, from linguini with clams or grilled octopus to wood-fired pizza and classic pasta dishes. For mains, there’s lamb and pork chops or grilled ocean trout served with a cool cucumber and buttermilk gazpacho and plenty of finesse. Or, if you’re looking to up the ante, check out the regular Thursday special menus when four courses are paired with different wines. Beyond the Italian offering there’s a mixed pan-Asian menu serving Asian, Indian, burgers and wraps, which can be finished off with a variety of fruit, nutty or chocolate tarts. More nonna than gastronomic, maybe, but we like the variety for all manner of different guests and occasions. Views of the South China Sea, particularly from the attractive terrace, are a further plus.
