Cheek Bistro is the cheekier younger sibling of Cheek by Jowl, beautifully executed by chef Rishi Naleendra and his wife Manuela Toniolo. It flaunts a more playful personality, with both its cooking and vibe. Small and large sharing plates showcase exciting twists on familiar flavours, as in beetroot tarte tatin, roast pumpkin with spiced cashew nuts, kale and pumpkin seeds, or delicate red snapper with green peas and tartare sauce in their version of fish and chips. Bold flavour combinations and innovative executions prevail – why not try the waffle with chicken liver parfait or whipped ricotta served with date jam and pickled mustard. Wash it all down with a glass of Viognier or Gruner Veltliner.
