Singapore Festival promises a host of foodie fun and creativity

From 24 August to 11 September 2022, the Singapore Food Festival (SFF), this year themed “Real Foodies Only”, will be a celebration of Singapore's rich food culture and culinary talent. With tourists returning, the festival promises to be a feast of diverse flavours and experiences, some steeped in heritage and others pushing the boundaries of creativity. Look out for virtual masterclasses, special menus, workshops and heritage tours, and plenty of opportunities to buy foodie specialities.

SFF 2022 will also play host to the inaugural Festival Village at the Bayfront Event Space, with over 20 food booths, as well as a chef arena where the culinary arts will be on full display.

Singapore’s National Day is 9th August but wait till the end of the month for the real fun to begin, when Singapore’s rich and vibrant culture and cuisine will be the toast of the town. Dishes to look out for are Singapore chilli crab served in a spicy sour sauce; street food favourite chargrilled chicken satay; tangy, fragrant Singapore rojak, heroic Hainanese chicken rice cooked with garlic and ginger; and delightfully sweet and textured sago gula melaka . All perfect for sharing with friends and family.
